The New Breed for Sustainability Development, a socio-political organisation in Akwa Ibom State has said that it is targeting more than 10,000 youths for training under its vocational and entrepreneurial training programme in the state.
The group in a statement released on Wednesday by its Head, Media and Publicity, Mr Christo Ekpoh said a total of 330 are set to graduate from the first batch of the training programme which holds on November 12, 22021 at Ibom Hall, Uyo, the state capital.
According to the statement which was made available to our correspondent in Uyo, the state governor, Udom Emmanuel is expected to grace the summit/graduation ceremony as the special guest of honour.
The summit tagged; “Entrepreneurship, a catalyst for sustainable development” is expected to connect over 2000 youth leaders from Akwa Ibom State with community leaders, entrepreneurial innovators, relevant government agencies and partner organizations from across the nation.
The statement read in part, “This event will focus on youths immersion in innovation, entrepreneurship, personal transformation, and self-actualisation as well as connecting youth to engagement opportunities such as mentorship, internships, scholarship, and professional development.”
The group announced that training was ongoing for other batches, and will continue in batches till the target of 10,000 Akwa Ibom entrepreneurs is achieved.
