The district head of Kuchibuyi, a remote community on the outskirts of Kubwa in Bwari area council of FCT has been abducted by gunmen.

A leader in the community told Daily Trust that Malam Isiaka Dauda was abducted in his private residence, located some meters away from his palace during an attack which lasted between 12am and 1 am of Sunday July 17.

The community leader said the gunmen numbering about ten, fired two gunshots on arrival, alerting the community’s security vigilantes. It was further learnt that the vigilantes had to stay off as the kidnappers aimed at them as they approached.

The gunmen were said to have initially forced their way into a room within the compound, before moving to another one, where they found the chief.

He said;

“They left with him without any resistance. They passed through an untarred road that leads to Bwari town.’’

The police area commander in Kubwa, ACP Muhammad Ndagi, who confirmed the incident, said investigation into the matter is ongoing.

This is coming three months after the traditional ruler of Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), His Royal Highness (HRH) Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi, was abducted from his palace.
